Astrological Houses

The 12 houses represent 12 areas of life. Unlike signs and planets, houses depend on the exact time and place of birth. The cusp of the first house is the Ascendant (ASC) — the most important point in the chart.

Personal Sphere (Houses 1–4)

1st House — Personality and Appearance The Ascendant. Your look, first impression, body, new beginnings. The ASC sign is the "mask" you wear when meeting someone.

2nd House — Finances and Values Your money, possessions, what you value. How you earn and spend. Sense of self-worth.

3rd House — Communication and Immediate Environment Speech, writing, learning. Siblings, neighbors, short trips. Everyday thinking.

4th House — Home and Roots Family, origins, home, one parent (usually the mother). Your emotional foundation. The lowest point — IC (Imum Coeli).

Social Sphere (Houses 5–8)

5th House — Creativity and Pleasure Creative self-expression, romance, children, play, sports, hobbies. Joy of life.

6th House — Work and Health Daily work, health, routine, service, pets. Practical skills.

7th House — Partnership Marriage, business partners, open enemies. The opposite point — Descendant (DSC). What you lack — you seek in others.

8th House — Transformation Death, sexuality, shared resources, inheritance, others' money, secrets, psychology. Deep change.

Spiritual Sphere (Houses 9–12)

9th House — Philosophy and Distant Horizons Higher education, religion, philosophy, long-distance travel, foreign cultures.

10th House — Career and Reputation Profession, social status, one parent (usually the father). The highest point — MC (Medium Coeli). Your place in society.

11th House — Friendship and Ideals Friends, groups, organizations, dreams, social goals, progress.

12th House — Subconscious and Solitude Hidden enemies, secrets, isolation, spiritual practices, karmic lessons. What is hidden from the world and from yourself.
